Overview

What you can expect:

In this position you will develop good project organizational skills by supporting all aspects of an electrical engineering project. You will work alongside a senior automation engineer developing control systems for high speed proprietary packaging equipment contributing to such things as:

  • General review and understanding of 1-Step RHSB Process

  • General understanding of PET Material Rheology and characteristics

  • Participating in Process Definition DOEs

  • Data Collection and analysis.

  • Setting up and configuring industrial PC’s’ and PLC’s

  • Developing/modifying standard work for process control and operator training

  • Hands-on experience with plastics manufacturing equipment.

Goal of Program:

  • Enhance technical understanding of extrusion, RHSB and related processes.

  • Experience in managing a complex DOE

  • Technical understanding of PET materials and characteristics.

  • Through understanding thermodynamic process inputs.

  • Learn industry terms, materials, machines and speed of manufacturing.

Example Projects:

  • Influences of ambient air temperature on process reliability.

  • Thermodynamic influencers on process controls

Qualifications/Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Level: Advanced Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Electrical/Computer Engineering (all non-graduating)

  • Basic knowledge of packaging materials, package manufacturing processes, and distribution systems

  • Capable of working in both individual and team settings

  • Seeking highly energetic, creative, and motivated individuals

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications - Each candidate is expected to:

  • Graduate with Bachelor’s degree within one (2) year of coop completion.

  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

  • Pass a drug screen and background investigation

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
